RISI Announces Companion Tour Program Schedule for PPI Transport Symposium 19
Tours will highlight history, architecture, and culture of Amsterdam

BRUSSELS, July 25, 2011– (PRESS RELEASE) RISI and the IFPTA (International Forest Products Transport Association) are pleased to announce the Companion Tour Program scheduled in conjunction with PPI Transport Symposium 19. The biennial Symposium will take place at the RAI in Amsterdam from October 11-14.
The Companion Tour Programs are a great way for the Symposium guests and family to see the sites of Amsterdam. Whether it is a visit to one of the famous museums of Amsterdam or a nice trip on a canal boat, guests will be treated to first-class service by the tour organizers, Jibe! Destination Management.
The tours are scheduled during the days of the Symposium and will showcase some of the best Amsterdam has to offer, including:
- Amsterdam Canal Boat Tour & Guided Visit to Flower Market
- Jordaan, Anne Frank House & Shopping Tour
- Dutch Painting Workshop
- Museum Visits – Hermitage, Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh
- Tour of Traditional Craft Shops and Windmills in Zaans Schans and Zaandam
For the first time ever, the Tour Programs will feature a Post-Symposium tour on Friday afternoon. This Private Salon Boat Tour will feature a walking tour with a guide and a canal tour of Amsterdam. The Post-Symposium Tour is perfect for delegates and guests alike – anyone who is staying in Amsterdam for an extra night following the Symposium.
