New York, New York, June 1, 2010 (Press Release) - The International Forest Products Transport Association (IFPTA) announced today the dates and location for the IFPTA 2nd South American Regional Seminar.  The Seminar will be held September 27 - 28, 2010 at the Sheraton WTC Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The IFPTA 2nd South American Regional Seminar is a two-day program focused on the current opportunities and challenges of the continued growth of the South American forest products logistics industry in the last few years.  The Seminar will feature speakers from leading companies based in South America and from around the world involved in the transport, handling, distribution of forest products and related industries.

“Since our first seminar here in 2007, demand for forest products from South America has grown exponentially,” said Ana Paula Trilho, South American Director of the IFPTA.  “This growth, while good for the economy, has brought its own set of challenges, infrastructure issues being at the top of the list.”

Registration details, preliminary agenda and hotel details will be available soon on the IFPTA website at www.ifpta.org/saconf2010.
