Join us for the next IFPTA on the Road event. On May 8, we will be in Vancouver at the Steamworks Brew Pub during International Pulp Week 2017.

Our Speaker

Peter Xotta, the Vice President of Planning and Operations with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is our featured speaker and will talk with us about some of the growth and operational issues facing the port. This is a great opportunity to hear from someone on the front lines of port operations for Canada’s largest port.

In his role as vice president, planning and operations, Mr. Xotta is responsible for the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s long term planning, operations, security, and trade development activities. Mr. Xotta joined the port authority in 1995, and has held diverse portfolios including business development and leading strategic port projects.

Mr. Xotta’s experience has included acting as president of Modalink Distribution Hub Ltd., a multi-modal logistics facility in South Richmond, British Columbia and a 50 per cent joint venture with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. He is the former chair of Canada Place Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, and currently sits on the board of directors of the Van Horne Institute and Crossroads Hospice Society.

Mr. Xotta has a Masters in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University’s Segal Graduate School of Business and is an active mentor in the program.
